An example of my earlier work from the mid/late 2000’s, this period of my VJ career was influenced heavily by Adam Curtis’ documentaries, the cold war and secretive political manoeuvring.
Layering and collaging of footage types were significant to my performances - using a mix of found, created and filmed assets to create the whole.
Here were the beginnings of my interest in creating work that has a distinct overarching tone or atmosphere to it, something that stands besides and within the visual components and presentation.
